Data registries play an important role in patient and customer support. For example, medical data registries support the investigation and application of emerging treatments and technologies in health care, and in the study of rare or unusual diseases or treatments. By consolidating information of interest into databases designed to support a specialized role, they seek to improve the delivery of health care to specialized groups. In general, registries enable the exchange of information, and interrogation of large databases. Knowledge workers can probe for specialized information not available in traditional transaction systems.
BayaTree has extensive experience in developing registry applications, and getting them certified by various professional and governmental organizations. Registries have specific requirements for capturing data in different formats, along with various validations and business rules. This is usually accomplished via Internet Browser-based user interfaces. Once the data is captured, registry applications host the data for analysis and reporting. The Registrars offer each Registry application as Software as a Service (SaaS) offering, or as a site-hosted solution.
